***** “GREAT DINNER SPOT” - JULY 2016
We ate here on our last night in Steamboat based on a recommendation and it was great. Plenty of food, and the wine was reasonably priced. Very nice laocal type atmosphere with excellent service.

...We had the pizza, caesar salad, and gnocchi finished with fresh tiramisu. All of the food was delicious. What prevented this restaurant from a 5 star review was the wait time. We were told 35 minutes which ended up over an hour. After a long day on the mountain it was difficult to wait so long to eat. I can not blame the wait staff because there were several parties who were just hanging out and they have limited seating.

My daughter and friend were in town for an event. We stopped at Mazzolla's and were greeted by friendly staff and seated right away. They have a variety of pizza offerings that are not the usual fare, and very tasty. We ordered the pasta and the entrees were very good. The ambiance was mellow, and good food and wine were shared. Will definitely return.

Great find.....down the stairs off the Main Street and into a fun atmosphere with great food! Staff was nice and attentive despite the restaurant being packed with large groups! The food was great, lots of choices and the 3 of us really enjoyed all the food from appetizers, beers and main courses. Try it!
Ooh, this was a good restaurant. We ate the chicken Parmesan and practically licked the plates. Focaccia bread appetizer with northern bean purée was a good starter. The chianti wine was disappointing (old?) but not a deal killer. Nice servers, too.

My wife and I went to Steamboat for a long weekend and the condo we rented was just a few yards down from Mazzola's. We were pretty hungry after driving all day so I looked up the reviews of the restaurant and most were stellar so we decided to give it a shot. Boy, were we glad we did! We ordered the Vodka pasta and substituted chicken for the shrimp as we are not seafood eaters. Best vodka pasta I have had outside of NYC! But the showstopper was one of the nightly specials. It was a penne pasta dish with a variety of meats (sausage, capicola, and salami) and it was unbelievable!! Service was outstanding as well. Will definitely be back!

Every time we come to Steamboat, we stop in and have a fun meal at Mazzola's. It is consistently fabulous, and fairly priced. Instead of the typical bread and butter basket you get a plate of freshly made bean spread with rich olive oil, roasted garlic and olives along with warm bread. The salads are freshly made to order....

WOW! You cannot go wrong here! Everything was delicious! I got the Vodka Pasta, I was there over a year ago and I still remember. It was so good. My family and I were there on a ski trip, and everyone got something they absolutely loved. We ended the meal by splitting the chocolate calzone. DO NOT LEAVE without doing this!!...
